Interior’s Deputy Secretary to Host Listening Session on Land Buy-Back Program in New Mexico
U.S. Department of the Interior Deputy Secretary Michael L. Connor will host a listening session on March 3, 2016, at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to hear directly from tribal leaders and individual landowners on the progress of the Land Buy-Back Program for Tribal Nations (Buy-Back Program). Deputy Secretary Connor will be joined by Special Trustee for American Indians Vince Logan.
Heinrich To Discuss Drought Impacts Across N.M., Water Management In Committee Hearing
U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will participate in a U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources hearing this morning, Tuesday, June 2, at 10 a.m. ET/8 a.m. MT, where he will discuss the impacts of drought conditions in New Mexico and ways to tackle water supply needs. The committee will receive testimony on the status of drought conditions throughout the western United States and actions states and others are taking to address them
