U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich and U.S. Representative Ben Ray Luján announced that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will reimburse the City of Rio Rancho $2.135 million for completed upgrades to water treatment facilities. The city funded the construction of a water treatment facility to clean arsenic from the water supply and comply with federal requirements in 2007, and the awarded funding reimburses a portion of the approximately $6 million in construction costs.

The House passed the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act today that reforms several programs run by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Rep.
