DOE helps low-income New Mexicans weatherize homes

The U.S. Department of Energy awarded $1.7 million to the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority to help low-income New Mexicans weatherize their homes.
The funds, awarded through the DOE’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, brings total weatherization assistance to date for New Mexico homeowners to $10.4 million, said U.S. Sen. Pete Domenici, R-NM, in a news release.
